The Bureau of Fire Protection and SM Prime partnered in the first ever lighting of the MOA Globe and formation of the female or ‘Venus Symbol’ with the use of more than 180 fire trucks to mark the March celebration of Women’s Month and Fire Prevention Month.
Red lights from the firetrucks formed a cross topped by a circle with the MOA Globe in the middle showing the message “Sa Pag-iwas Sa Sunog Hindi Ka Nag-iisa, Kababihan Kasama Mo!”

The illumination of the iconic MOA globe is part of the ‘Women on Fire’ series of activities including the 4th Nationwide Simultaneous Fire Drill in all SM Supermalls, Safe Spaces Act Orientation, Fire Square Road Show, Kickoff of Women’s Month of Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), and the Open Government Forum series partnership of SM CARES with DILG – NCR being hosted by SM Supermalls.
“The ‘Purple Illumination’ of our malls and other assets with special focus on the and the formation of the Female Symbol in MOA Globe - is the strongest proof and testament to our commitment and support for women’s rights, empowerment and equality. Further, the strong partnership with the BFP and the various fire volunteer groups, made it possible for us to show to the entire country our shared commitment to develop risk resilient societies where women are integral part.” said, Atty. Pearly Joan Jayagan Turley added.
