The EPiC JOURNEY AGAINST DIABETES, an advocacy by Edwin A. Velarde (Past-President of Rotary Club of Westlake Village, California USA and Board Member of Rotarian Action Group on Diabetes), is in the country for its Manila-Batangas-Laguna leg.
In support of Mr. Velarde's advocacy along with fellow Rotarians in Rotary District 3820 Philippines to raise awareness on Diabetes, Enchanted Kingdom hosted a breakfast in the Park last August 22, 2019, for the participants of the bike tour from Metro Manila along the shores of Lake Laguna to Batangas Provincial Capitol and around the province of Laguna. The agenda also included a Diabetes Symposium in Calamba Medical Center which featured experts of Diabetes. Mr. Velarde also shared his personal diabetes journey along with information about the Global Diabetes Epidemic.
The first and only world-class theme park supports the cause of Mr. Edwin A. Velarde and the Rotarian Action Group on Diabetes to promote awareness and education of Diabetes as a preventable disease.
