In an inspiring evening dedicated to advancing sustainable development, the Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards brought together leaders across sectors to celebrate their commitment to progress and resilience. Held at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila and organized by Sustainability Standards, Incorporated (SSI), the event served not only as a recognition platform but also as a rallying cry for collective action towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
The MOSLIV Awards—“Most Sustainable and Liveable”—focuses on galvanizing Filipinos to work toward achieving climate neutrality and social equity. With the world approaching the halfway mark of the UN SDG 2030 Agenda, the event highlighted both the progress made and the urgency of the work still ahead. "Our experiences through the challenges of the past years have strengthened our resolve to face the future with greater readiness and determination," said SSI President and CEO Kenneth Rocete.
Sustainability as a Shared Responsibility At the heart of the awards night was the message of unity and shared responsibility. From policymakers and business leaders to local government officials and young innovators, each honoree represented a piece of the collective effort required to create a sustainable future. ● Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable Province are awarded to Maguindanao Del Sur; Quirino Province; Camarines Sur and Davao Del Norte
● Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable City is awarded to Malabon City
● Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable Municipality are awarded to the Municipalities of Del Carmen, Surigao Del Norte; Santa Maria, Isabela; Vintar, Ilocos Norte and Tumaini, Isabela ● Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable Barangay are awarded to Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque City and Barangay Panay, Santa Marcela, Apayao
● Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable University in the Philippines is awarded to Davao Del Norte State University
● Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable Company is awarded to Intele Builders and Development Corporation
● Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable Real Estate Company in the Philippines is awarded to Primehomes Real Estate Development, Inc.,
● Certified Most Sustainable and Reliable Pest Control Company in the Philippines is awarded to MAPECON
● Awarded Radio Station of the Year - Excellence in Creative Programming And Innovative Approach to Radio Broadcasting is awarded to 106.7 EnergyFM Manila
● The Philippines Strongest And Greatest Brand - Seal Of Product Excellence is awarded to IAM WORLDWIDE CORPORATION.
The private sector also played a prominent role, with leaders like Catherine Florine Sollano-Cusi of Aqua Technologies and James P. Amparo of Yovel East Research & Development recognized for driving sustainability and innovation within their industries.
Aligning with Global Goals Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reinforced the importance of collective action, emphasizing that addressing climate change and inequality requires participation from all levels of society. "To achieve the UN SDGs, we must work together—from creating inclusive policies to practicing responsible energy consumption. These awardees exemplify the leadership and commitment needed to bring about meaningful change," the President stated.
The awards also serve as a platform to amplify public awareness about sustainability, encouraging citizens to embrace practices that reduce environmental impact.
