Manila – Intramuros is set to attract more tourists with the new Fort Santiago Riverwalk, which connects Fort Santiago to the Pasig River Esplanade.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inaugurated Phase 3 of the Pasig Bigyang Buhay Muli Project on 27 February 2025, featuring the 305-meter riverwalk. This connection offers a scenic and convenient link between the historic citadel and the revitalized esplanade.
The riverwalk enhances the accessibility of Intramuros, allowing visitors to enter Fort Santiago through its Postigo Nuestra Señora de Soledad river gate in addition to the main gate along Sta. Clara Street. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls while taking in the stunning views of the Pasig River and Manila cityscape.
Intramuros Administrator Atty. Joan Padilla highlighted the riverwalk's role in creating a more integrated and attractive experience for visitors, encouraging them to explore more of Intramuros.
The Pasig Bigyang Buhay Muli project, spearheaded by the Inter-Agency Council for the Pasig River Urban Development, aims to revive the vitality of the historic Pasig River and transform it into a hub for commerce, tourism, and connectivity.
