Philippine Airlines hailed as one of the most punctual in Asia-Pacific Region

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has once again been recognized as one of the top 10 most punctual airlines in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024, securing the seventh spot in the prestigious Cirium On-Time Performance Report. This marks an improvement from its eighth-place ranking in 2023 and highlights PAL's commitment to timely service.

As the only Philippine carrier to achieve this distinction, PAL's impressive on-time arrival performance stands at 76.06 percent across nearly 112,000 flights within its global network. Notably, in January 2024, PAL achieved the top spot with an exceptional on-time record of 86.85 percent, setting a high standard in the industry.

Capt. Stanley K. Ng, president and chief operating officer of PAL, credited this milestone to the collective efforts of the airline's dedicated employees, service partners, and industry stakeholders. He emphasized that this achievement validates the significant investments made by PAL in improving reliability and efficiency across its operations, all while prioritizing safety in line with the airline's uncompromising safety culture.

Ng also highlighted that PAL's seventh-place ranking surpasses the performance of many airlines from Southeast Asia, China, Korea, and Australia. The 2024 top 10 list of most punctual airlines in the Asia-Pacific region includes carriers from Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.

For over 16 years, Cirium, a leading aviation analytics firm based in London, has been meticulously tracking the on-time performance of airports and airlines worldwide. This comprehensive analysis offers valuable insights into the aviation industry's punctuality, making PAL's recognition an outstanding accomplishment.
