In Malabon, The Boss in the Kitchen Restaurant Bar & Grill has become a go-to spot for great food and drinks. What started as a small pandemic-born catering service is now a full-fledged restaurant known for its homey yet elevated dishes.

From Marketing to Mastering the Kitchen
The restaurant’s owner, once a Marketing Manager, had no prior cooking experience. She learned to cook in Malaysia out of necessity, missing the taste of Filipino food. Over time, her love for food grew, and she combined her marketing expertise with her newfound passion to create The Boss in the Kitchen.
Starting with budget meals and silogs, the menu has since expanded to premium dishes, catering to an evolving clientele. Her secret? Constantly refining the menu while maintaining top-notch quality.
Overcoming Challenges
Running a restaurant isn’t easy—spoiled ingredients, customer demands, and staffing issues were unexpected hurdles. Initially targeting a casual dining crowd, she soon realized her restaurant appealed to a more upscale market. She adjusted by focusing on quality dishes like steaks and seafood while ensuring affordability remained an option.
A Unique Dining Experience
Beyond food, The Boss in the Kitchen offers an inviting ambiance and exceptional cocktails. With imported liquors sourced from Landers and creative drink offerings starting at just P80, it has become a favorite among younger crowds. Thanks to TikTok ads and influencer marketing, it has gained a strong following.
